Change it or rebook it? Hear both prices.
Moving the ticket you hold costs one number. A fresh ticket on the date you need costs another. One call gets you both figures, and the desk issues whichever one you pick.
Have your ticket number ready.
If what you want is your airline on the phone, this is the wrong number.
We can't reach them for you, we can't chase a refund, and we can't argue a claim. Their number is on your confirmation email.
Why the price isn't printed on this page
Nobody can tell you what your change costs until they look at your ticket. Four things decide it, and they are different on every ticket.
-
The fare you actually bought
Not the airline's published policy — the fare code on your ticket. Two seats in the same row, booked the same day, can carry different change rules.
-
Who issued it
A ticket bought direct, through an agency, on points, or through a third-party site is handled four different ways.
-
What is left on the day you want
A change is usually the fee plus the difference to the cheapest seat still available on your new date. That seat changes price hourly.
-
How much of the trip you have already flown
A half-used ticket is a different calculation from an untouched one.
A table on a website cannot hold those four. A person with your ticket number in front of them can, in a few minutes.
Sometimes the old ticket is not worth saving
Your airline will always answer the same way: change it with us. That is the only answer they have.
We sell tickets, so we can give you the other one. Often the change fee plus the fare difference comes to more than a fresh one-way on the date you need. When that is true, we will say so — and you hear both numbers before you decide anything.
That is the whole reason to call a ticket desk instead of the airline.
Before you call — four things
- Your ticket or confirmation number. The 13-digit ticket number if you have it, the 6-character booking code if you do not.
- The new dates you want, and how far they can move. "The 14th" and "sometime that week" price very differently.
- Whether any part of the trip has been flown.
- Who is travelling — names as they appear on the ticket, and how many.
Have these on screen or on paper. It is the difference between one call and two.
What to say when we pick up
I have an international ticket I need to move. Can you price the change and a new ticket, so I can compare?
That is the whole opening. You will be asked for your ticket number first.
