Questions people ask before calling

Have your ticket number ready.

Are you an airline?

No. SkyBooker is an independent ticket desk. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any airline. Airline names appear on this site to describe the tickets we can price and book.

Can you get my airline on the phone for me?

No. We cannot reach an airline on your behalf, chase a refund, or argue a claim. Your airline's number is on your confirmation email. What we do is price your alternatives and issue the ticket you choose.

What will my change cost?

Nobody can answer that before looking at your ticket. It depends on the fare code you actually bought, who issued the ticket, what is still available on the dates you want, and how much of the trip you have already flown. The agent works it out on the call, usually in a few minutes.

Can you change a ticket you did not sell me?

Whether an existing booking can be modified depends on how and where it was issued, and the agent checks that first. What can always be done is price the alternative and issue a new ticket — often the cheaper of the two once a change fee and a fare difference are added together.

Do you charge a fee?

Any service fee is named on the call before anything is charged, and nothing is charged without your say-so. We do not print a figure here because it depends on what the booking needs.

When can I call?

Calls are answered from 9:30am to 9:00pm Eastern, seven days a week.

What should I have ready?

Your ticket or confirmation number, the new dates you want and how far they can move, whether any part of the trip has been flown, and the names of everyone travelling as they appear on the ticket.

Which airlines do you book?

The major international carriers. The ones we are asked about most have their own page under Airlines — if yours is not listed, call and ask.

Do you handle refunds, compensation claims or baggage?

No. Refund status, delay and cancellation compensation, and baggage claims are all matters for the airline that sold you the ticket. We do not file or chase them.

Are calls recorded?

Calls are answered by an independent ticketing agency and may be recorded by them for quality and verification. Ask at the start of the call if you want to know how yours is being handled.
